6 Days Lemosho Route
OVERVIEW
Featuring breathtaking scenery, pristine wilderness, excellent acclimatization potential, and fewer climbers, the Lemosho Route is widely regarded as one of the best ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It is also one of our personal favorite routes for reaching the Roof of Africa.
After an approximate 3-hour drive from Moshi to Lemosho Gate, you will arrive on the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. From here, the trail leads onto the famous Shira Plateau, where your journey through diverse climate zones begins — from lush rainforest and alpine meadows to the glaciers near the summit. The climb is smooth and gradual, contributing to Lemosho’s high summit success rate.
This 6-day itinerary is ideal for trekkers with limited time while still offering good acclimatization through a carefully planned route.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. Later, your mountain guide will conduct a detailed trek briefing and a full equipment check to ensure you have all the required gear for the climb. Overnight stay at the hotel.
